During routine checks, a food manufacturer in Southern Jutland discovered oxidation remnants and incipient coke formation in a sample from the thermal oil system. The oil supplier suggested that the customer contact Ocean Team for advice and solutions which could re-establish full system performance.
We found heavy deposits on the heat exchangers, which caused reduced temperature in the flow pipe. It therefore took longer for the plant to heat the food to the required temperature of 150-200°C.
We cleaned the system using Ocean Team’s “Pulse-Induced Wave Oil Flushing System” and replaced the damaged mechanical parts. It took two men seven days. After cleaning, the flow temperature of the system could be lowered by 20°C. As a result, day-shift productivity increased so much that night shifts could be cut.
